Online Ladder Instructions
To participate in the War of the Ring online ladder system you need to do the following:
- Download the Online Client from the Downloads section
- Download the Hamachi program from the Downloads section
- Find an opponent
Rules
The War of the Ring online ladder is played either using the Second Edition Rules for the base game or the Collector's Edition rule book, Event cards, and FAQ,
all of which can be downloaded from the Downloads section.
There are two different ladders; one for each rule set.
Finding Opponents
The easiest ways to get in touch with someone to play is to try the following things:
Hamachi Networks
By logging in to a Hamachi Network you can see which players are online, and chat with them directly through Hamachi. This makes setting up games very easy.
The War of the Ring online ladder uses the following "public" Hamachi Networks:
(each Hamachi network can only hold 5 users, so please don't create multiple logins on the same network)
- Network name: veldrinwotr01 - Password: veldrin
- Network name: veldrinwotr02 - Password: veldrin
- Network name: veldrinwotr03 - Password: veldrin
- Network name: veldrinwotr04 - Password: veldrin

Rating system
The War of the Ring online ladder rate each player's performance as the Shadow and the Free Peoples. The rating is
calculated based on the table below, the difference in rating is calculated using each player's rating for the side they play.
All game results in the Collector's Edition ladder must be reported in this thread over at BoardGameGeek.
